PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Describe present appearance of structure/site,then contrast and compare that with it's original appearance,

This detached one-and-one-half story single-family residence has a rectangular plan
with a gable roofed open porch supported by two columns. There is a symmetrical
front facade consistsing of a central front entrance with 3/1 double-hung windows.
The frame construction is finished in bevel sidng and rests on a concrete foundation.
The gambrel roof is covered with wood shakes and features a shed-roofed wall dormer
across the front. There are two brick chimney, both interior. The axis of the roof
is parallel to the street. Outbuildings include a garage of concrete block.
HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Justify how the persons,important events,and/or historical patterns associated with the structure/site

Research in the sources consulted in this survey has not yielded any
significant historical information concerning persons or events
associated with this property.

Phase of Bozeman 's historic/architectural development.

Built for Dr . Walter E . Dean , an osteopathic physician ,
this eaves front , Colonial Revival style Classic Cottage
is more typical in style of the mid-1920 ' s to 1930 ' s
than the 19 ' teens , when it was probably built . The
house is located on a choice corner lot on the perifery
of Cooper Park .
