Matt Cohen , surveyor
One of several virtually identical Bungalows built in
the Bozeman area in the late 19 ' teens by local car-
penter John D. Wherling , a former Bozeman Police Chief ,
this house is a fine example of a common eaves front ,
Bungalow house type . Wherling ' s other house in the
district , 321 S . 8th Ave . , is located just two lots to the
west ( see Statement of Significance for more information
on Wherling ) .
In 1927 , Clement C . Seerley , a doctor , and his wife , Ruth
Seerley , were living here .
