822 S. Tracy
Well detailed and well preserved overall, this small Bungalow is one of three in
the district built by Elmer L. Bartholomew, a local carpenter. It appears to
have been built earlier than 1924, when Bartholomew applied for a sewer permit
for this site, though it is possible that he built this house about the same time
as 810 S. Tracy (c.1923) .
Records of early ownership are inconclusive. By 1927, Harry P. Ellis, a Montana
State College professor, was living here. In 1933 the house was listed as being
vacant, while in 1935-6, another professor, Bert B. Hansen, occupied the house.
