HISTORY OF PROPERTY
While Wimmer bought the property in 1916, the hose was not finished until spring of 1917, as evidenced by a
application for sewer permit dated 12 April, 1917.The following October he sold the property to Frederick C. Homann, a
Montana State College Mechanical Engineering professor. Curiously, within 11 days, Homann sold the house to John
Eberharty who owned the home until 1919 when he sold to Robert E. Noe. It is currently being owned and lived in by
James and Victoria Thompson.

INTEGRITY(location,design,setting,materials, workmanship,feeling, association)
The home retains its original location and residential setting in connection with the surrounding neighborhood, thus has
high integrity. Additionally, materials such as original siding and windows maintain such integrity, the only great loss
being the original features of the front porch.

814 S. Tracy
The only house in the district built by carpenter George M. Wimmer, this small
gable front house retains high integrity with the exception of the replacement
porch posts and rail.
Wimmer bought the land for the site in the fall of 1916, and by the next fall had
completed the house and sold it to Frederick C. Homann, a Montana State College
professor. Very shortly after buying it, Homann sold the house to John Eberhart,
who two years later sold it to Rover M. Noe, an insurance salesman. Noe remained
here until about 1933 or 1934. Wallace E. Reed, a mechanic at the Bozeman Auto
Co. at 202 W. Main, is listed as living here in 1935-6.
