Is there any other information that you feel we need to know?
My husband, our two boys and I moved here three years ago, and we are so happy to be living here in
Bozeman! I grew up in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, my parents were both born and raised in Helena, and
although I have lived in many beautiful places in the US, I feel I am finally home here. I wish to participate in
the community, and am happy to offer my assistance where ever it is needed.

Please explain your relevant qualifications, interests and experiences:
I have been visiting SW Montana since childhood. As a professional working in large cities such as Miami
and San Diego, I was drawn to Bozeman due to its strong sense of community, culture, and connection to
the outdoors. I am driven by the motto of “do right, fear not” and have always placed service over self. I’d
like to contribute to my new city, as a young professional woman within a profession where design
aesthetics and project execution generate beautiful buildings that shape the future of our community
(Bozeman High School, 5 West, First Interstate Bank, MSU Innovation Campus).
I have had a critical eye for quite some time. My parents are talented landscape architects and interior
designers, with a focus on civic scale projects in some of the most iconic open spaces in South Florida.
I understand the dynamics of public input and the viewpoints of private business owners. I have advocated
at many City Commission meetings, Historic Preservation Board meetings, Tree Board Meetings, and Design
Review Board meetings in Miami and Miami Beach, Florida.
I now live in downtown Bozeman, walk (4) blocks to work each day on Main Street, and have had the
opportunity to analyze the good and the bad, what can be improved, how might we go about improving,
how to highlight the stewards of Bozeman’s beautification, etc. We have extremely talented citizens of
Bozeman who are constantly pushing the envelope of residential and commercial architecture, further
stitching together the unique fabric of the City of Bozeman.
Over the (7) years of working with my father and award-winning landscape architect, Raymond Jungles, I
prepared annual award submittals for the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and American Society of
Landscape Architects (ASLA) awards programs. I facilitated panel presentations regarding design trends, led
garden tours for premier donors of botanical gardens, and prepared lectures at various universities, garden
clubs, and museums including the Museum of Modern Art(MoMA) in New York.
If appointed to the board, I’d like to place a strong emphasis on storefront improvements and curb appeal
for the downtown area. If private business owners are unable to contribute, I’d like to liaise with local
nonprofits like the Bozeman Rotaract, for volunteering opportunities to assist with improvements such as
planting native plants in empty storefront planters or removing trash outside of storefront locations that
have yet to be developed or with out-of-town owners.
In conclusion, I’ve decided to make Bozeman my forever home. My employer would approve of my time
commitments and has already approved of my participation in the Bozeman Rotaract Club as a member of
the programs and membership committees. Bozeman Rotaract is sponsored by the Bozeman Sunrise
Rotary and is a young professional group of citizens of Bozeman. I am also involved as a volunteer and
young professional member of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust (GVLT). This is my community, and I’d like to
be a part of the decisions that will help shape the city’s growth.
Thank you for your time and attention in reading my application.
Regards,
337
Amanda Eva Jungles
