BACKGROUND: The Cemetery Advisory Board currently has four vacant positions with expired terms as of December 31, 2017. Four term renewal applications have been received. Bozeman Municipal Code Section 2.05.660 – Composition. There is created a cemetery board consisting of seven members to be appointed by the City Commission for three year staggered terms. Should a vacancy occur on the board, the city commission shall appoint a new member to complete the term of appointment so vacated. A majority of the members shall be residents of the City, and whenever practicable one member shall be a representative of an active recognized veteran’s group. Bozeman Municipal Code Section 2.05.670. – Organization. The cemetery board shall serve as an advisory board to both the city commission and city administration and, as such, shall be charged with making such investigation and recommendations as requested or deemed necessary for the operation of the cemetery and as required in this division. The board currently has four vacancies. The City Clerk’s Office has received four applications, with their relevant qualifications indicated below. 1.
