IFAC AppointmentsCommission Memorandum REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor and City Commission FROM: Brenda Sweeney, Deputy City Clerk Robin Crough, City Clerk SUBJECT: Appointment(s) to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee (IFAC) MEETING DATE: February 12, 2018 MEETING TYPE: Action RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to appoint up to four members to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee with terms ending December 31, 2019 to the following positions: One Certified Public Accountant who shall hold no other public office or employment; Citizen of Bozeman not employed in the development industry Other member as selected by the City Commission Land Developer BACKGROUND: The Impact Fee Advisory Committee (IFAC) currently has four vacant positions with expired terms as of December 31, 2017. Four term renewal applications have been received for each of the following positions: 1. Certified Public Accountant who shall hold no other public office or employment, expiring December 31, 2019 2. Citizen of Bozeman not employed in the development industry, expiring December 31, 2019 3. Other Member as Selected by the City Commission, expiring December 31, 2019 4. Land Developer, expiring December 31, 2019 The Impact Fee Advisory Committee, established under 7-6-1604, MCA, shall consist of nine members to be appointed by the City Commission. The members shall be: The City Engineer; The City Finance Director; A certified public accountant who shall hold no other public office or employment; 431 1 builder; 1 land developer; 2 citizens of Bozeman not employed in the development industry; and 2 other members as selected by the City Commission. A majority of members must be residents of the City of Bozeman. Appointments are made for two years. The Committee will act in an advisory capacity to the City Commission. This board currently has four vacancies. The City Clerk’s Office has received four applications, with their relevant qualifications indicated below. 1.
