This amendment is in the amount of $3,199,503.27. The amended GMP total would be $4,436,052.05. Please reference exhibit "A" for a breakdown on how we derived our proposed amendment. The contingency for this amendment is estimated at$142,794 which is estimated at approximately 4.7%of the construction cost for the above referenced scopes of work. Contingency will be utilized per the AIA Document A133-2009 agreement between the owner and Construction Manager. We have reviewed the bids submitted for bid package site hardscapes phase 1A, 2018 and found CMG Construction LLC to be the low and responsible bidder. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of Addendum on their Bid. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. This addendum consists of 4 pages, 18 revised plan sheets, 4 pages of project manual enclosures, and the current plan holders' list. SPECIFICATIONS SECTION 00100--INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS Replace Bid Package Descriptions for Bid Package (BP) 1.4 with updated description clarifying that drill seeding is the base bid option for the base bid athletic fields. Removed references to landscape edging. SECTION 00300—BID FORM Updated Bid Form. Non-Collusion Affidavit was not included in the original project manual. Note:Please use updated bid form;in doing so,bid will NOT be required to be submitted bound into the project manual. SECTION 12760—IRRIGATION SYSTEM Replace Section 2.15. B&C. with the following: B. Fittings-Solvent Weld All lateral line fittings and mainline fittings 2"and smaller shall be schedule 40 solvent weld fittings. Fittings shall be manufactured by Lasco,Spears,or acceptable equal. C. Fittings-Gasketed All mainline fittings larger than 2"shall be gasketed ductile iron. Control System Programming Landscape Architect shall provide initial programing and set up of the control system online on the control system manufacturer's website. Any adjustments to the irrigation design during installation that affect programming shall be the Contractor's responsibility. Contractor shall make all necessary adjustments and bring all remaining features on-line during the installation of the irrigation system. SECTION 12824— DRYLAND GRASS HYDROSEEDING Clarification- Dryland seed mix and cover crop are to be drill seeded followed by hydromulch application, see 3.5 B 3-5. SECTION 12840—TREES SHRUBS AND GROUND COVERS Replace Section 2.2. B.with the following: B. Mulch Mulch shall be shredded redwood bark for all plants and trees planted on the site with the exception of those planted in the parking lot islands and along the Bioswale(center islands within parking lot). V—3"washed rock mulch shall be installed at all planters in the parking lot and above the flowline of the Bioswale as indicated on the drawings. Parking lot planters shall not receive any mulch. Submit samples for approval. There are two Section 2.3s; delete the Section 2.3 'PLANTING MIXTURE AT PLANTER AREAS FOR SHRUBS, ORNAMENTAL GRASSES,AND PERENNIALS'and add the following section: 2.4 PLANTING MIXTURE AT PARKING LOT ISLANDS: A. Topsoil The topsoil shall be loose, friable, and shall contain an ordinary amount of humus. It shall contain no lumps of soil,rocks larger than 1 inch, or sticks, roots, and other debris. It shall be sufficiently fertile to sustain normal healthy plant growth and shall not have a pH value higher than 7.0 or lower than 5.5. The topsoil shall be existing topsoil from the site and screened, etc. to meet this specification. It shall be placed in an unfrozen and non-muddy condition and must meet the approval of the Owner's Representative. Bozeman Sports Park Phase 1 Site Improvements 2018: Addendum#1 2 of 4 C_ B. Preparation Prior to beginning work in the parking plot planter areas, ensure that 8" minimum of planting mixture can be installed. Remove existing soils as required to accommodate the required planting mix depth. Prior to placing planting mix, scarify the subgrade a minimum of 18" deep. In locations where gravels are encountered, scarify to the surface of the gravels. Planting mix used at planters in the parking area shall be topsoil mixed with compost at the rate of three parts soil to one part compost. Planting mix shall be mixed in place. In areas where this is not feasible,planting mix shall be blended in batches and placed. The soil mixture shall contain 15-15-15 slow release commercial fertilizer, at rates as recommended by the manufacturer. Following incorporation of the compost and fertilizer, the surface shall be raked smoothed and rolled in preparation for planting by others. PLAN SHEETS SHEET C01 Correction of Base Bid vs Alternate Description. To clarify, the base bid includes paving the southern portion of the parking lot and entrances, in addition to providing the gravel section shown in Detail 3/D01. The add alternate is to provide the remaining gravel and asphalt section on the northern portion of the parking lot to match Detail 1/D01. SHEET CO3 Corrected detail reference to new dumpster enclosure. SHEET C04 Changed fence type from 'Split Rail' to owner-provided 'Jack Leg' fence. SECTION 00700—GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT The electronic version of the project manual has a different version of the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC) General Conditions of the Contract than the printed version. The printed version (2007 61h Edition) is correct;the City of Bozeman has not adopted the later version of the EJCDC General Conditions, SECTION 02920—LIVING TURF INSTALLATION Clarifying that the base bid on all athletic fields is the 8" depth, reference to 6" depths as 'Base Bid' within this specification section should be disregarded. It has been requested to relax the requirement of 1.2 A.for a minimum depth of 18"for the rototiller depth since the soil depth is only 8". This requirement will not be relaxed, as the revolutions per minute and larger size help ensure proper mixing. Bozeman Sports Park Phase 1 Site Improvements 2018: Addendum#1 1 of 4 SECTION 12755—PUMP STATION SUBSTITUTIONS: PPS pump station has been conditionally approved subject to the following items. 1. Substitution/Equal Product Request Form as contained in the project manual shall be provided no later than 5:00 PM on December 7,2017. 2. Enclosure a. Aluminum enclosure is not approved. b. A composite enclosure shall be provided that is equal to the specified enclosure. 3. Inlet drop pipes. a. Inlet drop pipes are to be provided as specified and shown on the drawing for both the raw and potable water supply. The discharge drop pipe must also be provided. b. Inlet locations for both the raw water supply and the potable water supply are not in the same locations as the specified pump station. These items will need to be relocated to match what is shown on the drawings or the existing supply lines will need to be adjusted. Any reconfiguring shall take into account the building setback requirements and the existing supply line locations. Field verification of existing supply lines shall be provided prior to fabrication of pump station. All costs associated with adjustment of the existing supply lines shall be the responsibility of the pump station manufacturer should the manufacturer choose this route. 4. Adequate protection is to be provided to protect the exterior mounted AC unit from vandalism or unit is to be mounted on the interior of the enclosure. 5. Provision are to be provided for mounting and installing the customer supplied fertigation equipment (The contractor is the customer in this case). The fertigation equipment is to be mounted and installed at the factory where the pump station is being fabricated. 6. Louvered intakes and fans are to include expanded metal vandal resistant screen. 7. Provide check valve on all pumps. This item is noted on the plan but not visible. 8. Provide the 4"City water inlet isolation valve indicated on the drawings. 9. Filter flush valve shall be an electrically actuated butterfly valve as specified. 10. Provide information documenting that all of the specified features for the operator interface are provided. 11. FCC Statement of Compliance. a. The entire control system shall be tested and certified as a unit for FCC compliance with requirement Part 15 standards for electromagnetic compliance for EMC emissions. System to comply with both conducted and radiated emissions so that the system will not interfere with electrical,communication, SCADA, and security systems. Testing shall be completed using a digital spectrum analyzer and antennas, etc. Empirical data indicating the actual levels of noise being generated shall be provided prior to shipment of the pump station along with certification documentation. 12. Lighting Arrestor-The specified minimum single impulse current rating is 80,000 amperes per phase. Provide lighting arrester equipment equal to or better than that specified. 13. Power Requirements- The specified station has an FLA rating of 135A. The proposed station shall be equal to or very similar. 14. Isolation options for raw and potable water source. a. The opposite is true when the potable water source is being used, a physical disconnect between the raw water supply line and the intake manifold shall be provided. Thread-o-lets with plugs shown on the discharge line are to be provided. Conditional approval does not relieve the Contractor and the Manufacturer from their responsibilities to provide a functioning system as specified. CLARIFICATIONS Submitted questions: Can compost be delivered to the site before construction begins? Yes, the site is available for storage of materials. Storage location would need to be coordinated with DAC, and the OWNER. Placement may require alteration of existing SWPPP and additional BMPs. Additionally, measurement of quantities required will be taken by materials placed on the fields not stockpiled. Will AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings be made available (including Irrigation and Landscape layers) to facilitate layout/grading by GPS? Yes, Civil 3D and AutoCAD drawings will be made available to Contractors. A digital disclaimer will be required prior to release of any digital information. With the sloping around the ponds, can poly/drip pipe (3/4"-1") be used in lieu of PVC laterals as shown for drip pipe and possibly bubbler lines? No, the City requires PVC on all irrigation systems. PVC will be required. Can Hunter spigot X male swing joints be used in place of Male x Male? No. The Dumpster Enclosure Structure shown on Sheet D12 calls out for a steel wall panel to be installed on the enclosure. What type of wall panels do these need to be? Only the pad preparation for the garbage dumpster enclosure will be included in Bid Package 1.3. The wall panels,posts, and gates of the garbage enclosure will be constructed by others and will not be a part of Bid Package 1.3 After reading the specs on the highly amended root zone soil amendment,there is no mention of the depth or in which order any of the screened topsoil is to be spread.
