Incident Narrative: Bozeman Firefighters were dispatched to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital for a
report of a fire alarm. Firefighters responded requesting a special resource
engine and crew from Sourdough Fire. Firefighters determined the source of
the alarm to be a system malfunction caused by water leaking onto a smoke
detector.

Bozeman firefighters responded to a report of a 14 year old male who had fallen on a sidewalk near the duck
pond on the MSU campus. When we arrived we found the patient lying on the sidewalk holding his left
wrist. There was deformity in his wrist and he stated it was very painful. The patient appeared to have fallen
while roller-blading.

Bozeman firefighters responded to a report of a 14 year old male who had fallen on an MSU sidewalk
while roller-blading. Upon arrival, they found the patient lying on the sidewalk being assisted by some
adult bystanders and appeared to have broken his left; wrist. Firefighters took vitals, applied oxygen, and
assisted Med- Trans personnel in splinting the injured limb and loading the patient for transport to the
hospital.

to 29 Border Ln. Belgrade Fire requested Bozeman Fire respond with a
carbon monoxide detector to determine why a carbon monoxide detecter was
activating at a residence. Firefighters investigated and determined that a
clothes dryer was probably pulling exhaust gases from a furnace because there
was no cold air supply for the furnace. The owner was instructed on how to
correct the situation.

Incident Narrative: Bozeman firefighters responded to a report of a gas leak: at 511 S. Grand.
Upon arrival firefighters discovered a 1 112" gas line that had been broken by a
backhoe operator at the scene who was installing a water line. The
underground lines had been located by Montana Power, but this was
apparently a hidden line. Bozeman firefighters with the assistance of the
Bozeman Police Department evacuated the residents from all of the
surrounding houses. Firefighters were also standing by and ready to respond in
the event of a fire. Montana Power personnel dug up the curb valve with the
backhoe on the scene and were able to shut off the leak:. Belgrade firefighters
responded with a crew and engine to Bozeman Fire Station 1 as a special
resource request, as all Bozeman engine companies were committed.

Incident Narrative: Boz~ Firefighters were summoned to a report of a vehicle leaking gas on
Main Street. Upon arrival Firefighters found approximately I gallon of gas
under a vehicle that was still leaking its contents. Firefighters quickly secured
the scene and contained the liquid with absorbant. Gas was syphoned from the
vehicle until the leak stopped. Firefighters then used a petroleum emulsifier to
neutralize the gas. Downtown Bozeman was returned to its original state, as
Bozeman fire cleared from the scene.

pulse. Firefighters took the patient's vital signs and a patient history. Firefighters also assisted Moo
Trans personnel with the packaging and loading of the patient for transport to Bozeman Deaconess
Hospital.

Incident Narrative: Bozeman firefighters responded to a report of a fire alarm at the Gallatin
County Resthome. We had nothing showing upon arrival. After investigating
the situation it was discovered that a sprinkler line drain valve had been
opened causing the alarm system to activate. There was no fire and the
maintenance company was called in to fix the system.

Incident Narrative: The Bozeman Fire Department was called on their business line and informed
that some railroad ties were on fire inside the city's sand storage area at the
end of North Rouse. Fire personnel responded and extinguished eight railroad
ties that were burning. While they were there, an individual who had been
cutting steel off of the ties earlier in the day showed up and explained what
had more than likely hapPened.
