It was explained to her that she lived in an area that was covered by Rae fire department, and not the Bozeman fire department. The Bozeman fire personnel notified the dispatcher to page Rae fire and then responded to the location as a back-up. When they arrived they found that there was a strong smell of asphalt in the air. They also observed a train sitting at the station with several tanker cars present. As the train pulled out and the wind shifted the smell disappeared. It was beleaved that the asphalt smell from the train was mistaken for a propane smell. Officer in Charge: D.
