Number the buildings and features to correlate with the Site Map. The building is a detached one-story commercial building with rectangular plan along the front and side. The asymmetrical façade (north) consists of an off-center front double entry (one is boarded up) and 1/1 double hung windows. The Milwaukee sign has been painted in the frieze above the windows, and there are five large loading doors along the west side, with a divided-light transom above. Northern office portion of building has four double hung wood-framed windows and two smaller windows. The east side of building at north office end has three double hung windows, one entry door, four large loading doors with divided light transom. The construction has been cast-in-place concrete with marks from form boards showing, and is unpainted. The sloped gable roof is covered with tar paper and lies perpendicular to the street (E Main st). There are three attached wood frame corrugated metal sided warehouses to the south and one detached corrugated metal warehouse further to the south. Advertising ghost signs have been repainted and are contributing elements to the historic building. From north: Building #1: Gable roof, frame construction, C.M. siding, loading door boarded up. Building #2: Arched truss roof, corrugated metal siding windows, modeling slider windows, concrete foundation. Building #3: Gable roof with axis running north/south, roll up door on south end. Building #4: Gable roof with axis running north/south, two roll up doors on north end. Dimensions: North concrete building is 67'4" north/south and 40' east/west. Bozeman tracks and station were located immediately to the east of the subject property. The 1921 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map for Bozeman (sheet 21) shows the C.M. & S.P. R.R. freight warehouse in the same location, orientation, configuration, and dimensions as Building 1, described here as the concrete building on the north end of the lot (fronting E. Main St.). The 1910 Sanborn map does not show the structure.
