Concisely, accurately, and completely describe the property and alterations with dates. Number the buildings and features
to correlate with the Site Map.
Building is a 1-story single family residence with a simple rectangular plan and a recessed corner entry on the northeast
corner. The frame construction is finished in composition (asbestos?) siding and features 1/1 double-hung sash and larger
fixed picture windows. Foundation is formed concrete. Roof is is a compound-hipped form with offset ridgline running east-
west. Rear (west) addition to the enclosed rear porch at northwest corner has small shed roof. Roof is covered with
modern composition shingles. No original chimney or out-buildings remain.

Building (original address of 548 E. Babcock St.) appears first on 1904 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map for Bozeman (Sheet
23). Building as depicted shows same 1-story dwelling in same location and configuration with enclosed porches at rear
(northwest corner) and front (northeast corner). Lot is vacant on previous Sanborn map for 1891. 1904 map shows small 1
1/2-story "Automobile" garage at rear northwest corner of lot where Frank's Restaurant & Catering now exists with current
address of 540 E. Babcock St. 1904 map also shows a small 1-story outbuilding at extreme southwest corner of lot, also
since replaced by Frank's Restaurant & Catering.
