Number the buildings and features to correlate with the Site Map. The building is a one-story commercial/industrial structure built in a rectangular plan. The brick construction is finished in running bond and is built on a concrete foundation. The façade is a symmetrical one-bay in width. Windows and doors on north façade have been recently replaced with architectural metal framed fixed windows. Large window on west side of facade may have originally been a roll-up door. The east window and entry door on the façade have a single row of header bricks above. The east, west, and south walls are constructed with a lighter red brick than the façade, and have a formed concrete wall from the footers to a level at the base of the window sills.The flat built-up roof runs parallel to E Mendenhall St. Three windows are placed on the west wall, two of which are original industrial sash windows each with 15 lights. The other window of the three has been replaced with a modern window. South wall has a roll-up vehicle entrance door. There are three industrial/shop type windows on east wall. Concrete Foundation Flat built-up roof with short parapet walls on north, west, and east sides. The rectangular building shows the same setback, position, and size as exists today. The 1947 Polk City Directory for Bozeman does not provide a listing for any structure at the adress of 428 E Menhall. The 1950 city directory is the first to list the "Seitz Welding Works" owned by Frank J. Seitz at the address (pg. 127). The Seitz Welding Works is listed at the same address in the 1956 and 1959 city directories.
