Concisely, accurately, and completely describe the property and alterations with dates. Number the buildings and features
to correlate with the Site Map.
The building is a detached one-story warehouse building on a rectangular plan. The façade on the south side has an off
center entry door flanked by fixed storefront windows (three on either side of door). The building is constructed of concrete
block and wood frame covered with plaster and more recent stucco. The building sits on a concrete foundation with
concrete floor. East wall has eight twelve-light windows with wood sills. The roof is flat with built-up material and parallel to
the streets.
West wall of building shows indication of rear block addition with one roll-up door and two windows blocked with wood
panels. West wall of main building has large 24 light shop window with central hinge portion, large roll up door and two
small entr doors.
Presumed concrete on concrete slab.

The 1927 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map for Bozeman (sheet 14) indicates a 1 1/2-story wood frame barn and livery stable
on the subject lot at 103 W. Mendenhall St. The 1922 Polk City Directory for Bozeman (pg. 246) lists a livery sales and
boarding stables for the address, under the proprietorship of a W. E. Wood.
The 1927/rev. 1943 Sanborn Map (sheet 14) incicates a one-story wood frame building with wood roof, labeled as
automobile parking, tractors, feed, and farm implements. The same structure, of same dimensions and configuration, show
on all subsequent Sanborn Maps through 1960. The Polk City Directory for Bozeman for 1933 (pg. 280) indicates a
business owned by Lonne George at the address, listed under a business listing of "Tractors". The 1935 City Directory (pg.
265) lists John W. Hudson at the address in the business of "Dairy Supplies and Equipment Dealers." The 1942 City
Directory (pg. 34) lists the occupants of the address as "Bozeman Implement Co., J.A. Stout, Vice President, Clarence W.
Backlin, Treasurer, providing sales of John Deere and Catepillar Tractors as well as separators and milkers.
