Concisely, accurately, and completely describe the property and alterations with dates. Number the buildings and features
to correlate with the Site Map.
The building is a small detached one-story single-family residence currently used as commercial offices. Structure has an
asymmetrical rectangular plan with square portion under hip roof on north and smaller portion on south with intersecting
gable roof. Entry door on south end of façade (east). Two segmented bay windows project from ground level on east
elevation, north portion, each with five fixed panes. Building walls are currently finished in stucco. Construction is
presumed to be of wood frame. Roof is covered with asphalt shingles. Entry door on south side of east facade is accessed
by concrete steps and covered stoop. Building has been recently altered with loss of original architectural treasures.

Polk City Directory for Bozeman:
Beginning with the 1933 Polk Directory and continuing through the 1959 edition (pg. 36), a residence is listed for the
address of 37 N. Church Ave. The 1983 directory lists the address of 27 N. Church Ave. as being occupied by Antique &
Collectors Manor, owned by Mrs. Carmella A. Bobinski, Antique Dealer.
Based on limited architectural analysis of the buildings exterior form, roof line, etc., along with comparisons of location of
the auto garage at the rear of 448 E. Mendenhall St., as shown on earlier Sanborn Maps, it is speculated that the former
auto garage was converted to a detached residence on the property sometime around 1933. Most likely the northern
hipped-roofed portion of the building was the former garage and later residence with some later period addition (southern
gable roof portion) added later.
