HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-05-17 Correspondence - Mayor Taylor to Commission - RUDAT Events To: Deputy Mayor Andrus, Commissioners Krauss, Mehl, and Pomeroy Cc: Robin Crough, City Clerk Subject: R/UDAT events From the office of: Mayor Carson Taylor April 5, 17 From April 7 - 10, 2017, a multi-disciplinary team of nationally recognized professionals associated with American Institute of Architects (called "the R/UDAT”—Regional/Urban Design Assistance Team) will visit Bozeman, volunteering their time to identify ways to encourage desirable change in our community, and preserve our unique sense of place, specifically in Bozeman’s Northeast Neighborhood. And, the team is seeking input from the community. All Bozemanites are encouraged to participate in an open forum to offer public input and local perspective on the northeast neighborhood and greater Bozeman area. Northeast businesses have volunteered their spaces to host themed community listening forums moderated by RUDAT members. We are encouraged to participate to learn about the area and provide input. Bolded areas specifically involve City Commissioners and have been publicly noticed as possible quorums. Friday, April 7, 2017 Event Details: • 12:00pm: Pre-R/UDAT Planning/Growth Information Session @ Wild Crumb – 600 N Wallace Avenue • 5:00pm: Kick Off Block Party @ Treeline Coffee Roasters—624 N Wallace Avenue · Area maps will be distributed here • 5:30pm - 7:45pm: Community forums at area businesses • 8:00pm: Wrap Up Block Party @ Treeline Coffee Roasters—624 N Wallace Avenue As a follow up, the R/UDAT volunteers will present their findings and recommendations for the Northeast District. This is based on their decades of expertise, their on-the-ground experience in Bozeman and, most importantly, the input of a broad base of our community members.
