Honorable Mayor Taylor, Deputy Mayor Andrus and Bozeman City Commissioners,
Following your recent tabling of the discussion about the Strategic Plan, I offered to send my marked
up copy of the strategic plan, which is attached. At that time, I had been led to understand that this
level of feedback was not an option, but that understanding was revised during the previous
meeting. I hope these comments are helpful. I summarized them briefly in my comments to you
that night, which I’ve also attached.
I do agree strongly with the thought that this strategic vision is the “one ring to rule them all.” This
document will be used to justify many decisions going forward, and I hope that you can achieve a
better balance in protection of neighborhoods and historic preservation.
