In late August the Board of Directors was notified of the prospective purchase by two separatefamilies of this property. We quickly did our research to determine if this pending purchase violatedour covenants. While our covenants limit ownership to “a single family” (see attachments), wedecided we should seek legal advice. Our attorney, Cindy Younkin, after consultation withindividuals in the City Office, advised us that this is a City issue, not an HOA issue and that wecould not block the sale. The Board was disappointed to hear this, but then felt our hands were tied. We arehopeful that the City will deny the purchase based on its defined R1 and RS restrictions.
