Bozeman City Commission,
I am writing today to state my strong opposition to the conditional use permit as
requested in File 17-469. My husband and I purchased a lot in Baxter Meadowsand will begin building soon. A few of the reasons we chose this neighborhood
was the amount of single family homes, firm HOA guidelines that are followedand the great potential property value.
Approving the CUP and allowing the purchase of this single family home would
go against the HOA that states that houses are to be single family housing and isin an area zoned by the City of Bozeman to be occupied only by single families.
I also fear that this being approved will provoke other exceptions in which will
greatly impact property values for those who have purchased their homes with thecomfort of knowing the strict HOA guidelines and zoning laws would prevent
these types of occurrences.
I don’t doubt these two families are nice people but that has nothing to do withissue at hand. Please keep in mind all of the other amazing families that have
purchased in this subdivision before you consider approving this CUP or ratheroffering an exception to the rules.
