To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing on behalf of the Conditional Use Permit applied for by the planned cooperative living arrangement at 4149
Clydesdale Court in the Baxter Meadows West subdivision. I am a resident of the subdivision and feel very strongly against
the CUP request, as it directly affects my family’s quality of life and property investment, and I appreciate this opportunity to
voice my concerns.
I understand that the letter submitted in favor of this CUP defend the character of these families, and no one is questioning the
affability of these people. It’s a matter of reversing what is currently considered an illegal living arrangement within our
neighborhood. This is altering the planned use of home occupation regulations, which are established to ensure that home
occupations do not adversely affect the character and livability of the surrounding neighborhood. This CUP will absolutely
adversely effect the surrounding neighborhood and subdivision in numerous aspects, which is why I’d like to request that this
CUP not be approved by the City.
First and foremost, this will undoubtedly set a precedent within the subdivision that I fear will lead to the following
degradation within our subdivision:
Negatively impact property values
Create life/safety issues
Overburden municipal services
