I have only had a short time to review the strategic plan you plan to adopt this evening. I do
have a few comments, however.
There seems to be little more than lip service to community, quality of life and historicalpreservation. On the other hand, density, development and infill are quite clear objectives.
Further, there is very clear desire to continue collaborative relationships with economic
development entities, even though those relationships, along with those with propertydevelopment entities, have caused the integrity of the Commission to be generally called into
question.
Further, the city cannot continue to promote growth while claiming to desire a sustainableenvironment. Any further assault on the environment in the way of obtaining water for a
surplus of residents beyond 60,0000 is clearly antithetical to environmental health.
