Dear Mayor Taylor and Commissioners,
The agenda for your meeting this evening includes a tribute to the work of Fred Willson. The irony is difficult for
me to accept since you will be voting on a Strategic Plan for Bozeman that largely ignores the importance of
Historic Preservation. Please send the draft Plan back to the drawing board with instructions that it be more specific
about preserving the architecture and neighborhoods that are inviting growth. Much of what we enjoy about
Bozeman is the work of Fred Willson. Nothing on the horizon come close.
Residents and organized bodies, including your own advisory boards, have offered input into the planning process.
You’ve listened but have you heard? I would speak again tonight but will not be able to attend.
