Number the buildings and features to correlate with the Site Map. The building is a detached two-story commercial structure exhibiting a square plan. First story finish is brick in standard running bond pattern with metal clad windows and entry way door flanked by windows (north façade). Second story surface finish is architectural grade metal siding with metal clad windows. Flat built-up roof has extended square eave and parapet wall on all sides. Foundation is of concrete. South façade is similar to north with asymmetrical pattern, central double entrance door flanked by large fixed windows beneath gable roof portico that is off center to building. Concrete Foundation Flat built-up roof of composition materials. Mechanical/HVAC unites on roof. Roof Concrete steps to concrete porches at north and south building entrances. John Heetderks to be a medical/dental office. Some alterations occured prior to and during recent occupation as city office building. Building of same size, location, and configuration on lot appears as "Medical Dental Clinic" on the 1957-59 revision of the 1926 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map for Bozemn (sheet 21). The map indicates a one-story building made of concrete block with brick finish on steel posts. The 1960 revision of the Sanborn Map on file at the Montana Historical Society Research Library (Helena) shows a pencil notation to the building, "1979 first second floor." The building's brick veneer on the north side, near the northeast corner, has metal letters attached that read, "Alfred M. Stiff Professional Building." Alfred Stiff was the mayor of Bozeman from 1998 until his death in 1999.
