SUBJECT: Continuation of Application 17454, an Annexation Petition for 39.896 acres and Proposed Initial Zoning of PLI, Public Lands and Institutions District. MEETING DATE: October 23, 2017 AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Action RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Commission continue the hearing for the
annexation to November 13, 2017. RECOMMENDED MOTION: I move to continue the public hearing for the Bozeman 2nd High School Annexation, Application 17454 to November 13, 2017.
BACKGROUND: This is a Part 46 petition to annex a single tract for development as a school. The annexation was initially separated from the zone map amendment to expedite the annexation process. It has not proved practical to do so given the complexities of the application. The continuation will bring the two elements of the application together for Commission action on
the same day.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None. ALTERNATIVES: The City Commission has the following alternative actions available:
1. Set an alternate date for the public hearing. 2. As identified by the City Commission FISCAL EFFECTS: None identified at this time.
