Keuhn - Parking & Black Olive II E!VV October 11, 2017 City Commission City Hall 121 North Rouse Avenue Bozeman, MT 59715 Dear Commissioners: My name is Katherine Jane (Kay) Kuehn and I live at 507 South Black Avenue. It is time for the City of Bozeman to make sure whoever builds/rental units or housing has the parking for this housing. There are a number of places in my area that do not have parking except on the street around their property and two years ago when they repaired the water main on Story Street, that reduced the number of parking spaces on the street and I think the same thing will happen on Olive Street when it is back in use. My biggest problem is the large size of the Black/Olive, and the fact that they do not have parking for all their units. When they place the no parking signs on the streets when they are doing maintenance, it is like watching an ant hill when you watch all the people scurrying about trying to find parking. I am so lucky because Cliff and Cecilia Cullen(my original landlords) made sure we all had a place to park off-street, but sometimes when they post the no-parking signs, some people move into our parking area. This problem is going to get bigger and much worse unless the City makes sure there is enough parking from now on. Also, when they have Farmer's Market or any other event downtown or at the park, the parking in front of our houses is gone. I do hope you will think of all these problems before you allow the Black/Olive to proceed. Thank you so much, Katherine Jane Kuel Retired Teacher 507 South Black Avenue II Bozeman, MT 59715 i i
