Hello Bozeman City Commission,
I am writing to encourage you join the ACLU and the city of Missoula in a lawsuit challenging the
legitimacy of placing Initiative 183 on the ballot in 2018.
I feel this initiative is completely unnecessary and does not create an inclusive community in the city
of Bozeman, where all residents (regardless of their sexual identification) are treated equally. I
personally do not feel a safety risk or that I may incur a negative impact to my health if I were to
share a bathroom or locker room with a transgender individual. I also think it would likely negatively
impact our state economy, similar to the experiences the state of North Carolina felt following the
implementation of their state’s bathroom/locker room bill.
Please represent all members of our Bozeman family, by choosing to fight the placement of I183 on
the 2018 ballot.
