Dear Commissioners,
Once again you will be asked to vote to approve or deny the proposed Black Olive project.Twice you have voted "No." I have heard some of you say things such as, "Too big, not
enough parking, wrong location, etc." I ask you what significant changes have been made tothe proposal since you last voted to deny it? Perhaps a few minor changes have been made,
but has the developer made a real effort to minimize the impacts to the surroundingneighborhood? I believe the answer is NO and I strongly urge you to once again deny
approval for this project. What was wrong about this project is still wrong and it sets a verydangerous precedent for our city. Now is the time to ensure that we develop our downtown
wisely in order to maintain its charm and viability rather than see it develop a 5 story wallaround it.
