Agreement.
MEETING DATE: October 2nd, 2017
AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
RECOMMENDATION: Approve and authorize the Interim City Manager to sign the Professional Services Agreement with Madison Engineering LLC.
BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy of the partially executed Professional Services
Agreement with Madison Engineering LLC for the South 11th Avenue Improvements Project. The document is in the City’s standard format.
Madison Engineering completed the design for the above referenced project with the understanding that they would not be paid until the project is approved. The project has been bid
the award made, and construction has begun. This Professional Services Agreement covers the
previously accrued design costs as well as the construction administration and inspection for the project. Construction phase services are paid on a time and materials basis, so only those hours needed will be reimbursed. The final recommended cost is reasonable and commensurate with the work involved.

ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission
FISCAL EFFECTS: $237,748.24 from the Street Impact Fee Fund.
