AGENDA DATE: October 2, 2017 ITEM TYPE: Action RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Commission continue the review to October 9, 2017. RECOMMENDED MOTION: “I hereby continue the review of Application 17265 for Black Olive II Site Plan from October 2, 2017 to October 9, 2017.” BACKGROUND: The Department of Community Development received a site plan and certificate of appropriateness application for the demolition of the existing office building and the construction of a five story, 47 unit mixed use apartment building and related site improvements at 202 South Black Avenue. The City Commission was scheduled to review the application at its August 7, 2017 meeting. A temporary restraining order was filed and entered by the District Court that did not allow the City Commission to review the application at that meeting. The City Commission set a potential future date of the review for October 2, 2017. The restraining order has expired. Due to other City Commission agenda scheduling and staff availability, the review of the application has been scheduled and re-noticed for the October 9, 2017 City Commission meeting. ALTERNATIVES: Set an alternate date for the review. FISCAL EFFECTS: None at this time. Report compiled on: September 22, 2017 141
