Please read below. Thanks, Kim Kusak From: Bob Murray <BMurray@BOZEMAN.NET> Sent: Monday, September 25, 2017 10:55 AM To: Kusak, Kimberly Cc: Katherine Maines Subject: FW: kusak@montana.edu Ms. Kusak, I was forwarded you email as I am the project manager for the City on this project. The Andalusian detour won’t work. Although they had not done much work on that section, by the end of the week or next week all of the existing old roadway will be removed. Also, the detour would have been the same whether the other projects in the area were going or not. None of those that are closed would provide an alternated route. I understand there will be an impact to the neighborhood during construction. The police have committed to doing some extra patrols out there an also putting their radar message board sign up as well. Site Visitor Name: Kimberly KusakSite Visitor Email: kusak@montana.edu Hi Katherine- I see that you are listed as the contact for the Baxter construction project. The residents of Equestrian Lane are very concerned about the detouring of Baxter onto ourresidential street. I really do not understand why this project would have ever been started while so many other main arteries are closed in this part of town. I can't help wondering ifthose who planned this actually drive Baxter. Do they realized how busy it is and how fast people drive? However, what's done is done and now we are all dealing with the consequences of that decision over here in Baxter Meadows. As you may know, this detour goes by one of the main parks that we have in thisneighborhood. Also, the traffic level and types of vehicle (heaving equipment, semis, etc) is very concerning. One question I had is in regards to the detour itself. It appears as though notmuch work is being done between Andalusian and Ferguson. Why can't the detour start there until that section of the road is complete and then move down as needed? Therefore the burdenof this traffic could be spread out with only small sections of Equestrian suffering for a month or so and then then next section bearing the burden for the next month and so forth. Please take into consideration the unfair burden that has been placed on the neighbors ofBaxter Meadows due to this poor planning. Thank you.
