Elizabeth:
I just left you an email regarding the arbitrary decision to shorten the fifty meter pool by sectioning it off with a
bulkhead.
I am a committed lap swimmer for fitness because I suffer from MS. One of the gems of the community is access to
a 50 meter indoor pool. It was an impulsive and knee jerk decision to waste limited funds on an unnecessary
bulkhead that prevents a committed group of citizens from lap swimming in a fifty meter pool.
Furthermore, there was no comment period, no feedback from the taxpaying users of the pool or any notice
whatsoever of what was going to be done.
It is annoying enough that access to the pool for fitness swimmers is limited from 12-1 most days.
Again, you made a decision to take something unique and valued by the public (a rare 50 meter indoor pool) and
change it without any input or feedback from the most committed, consistent and enthusiastic supporters and users
of the 50 meter pool. It was an horrendous and wasteful decision by whomever made it. I am terribly aggravated and
disappointed.
