Re: Transportation Improvement Policy Discussion
Dear Commissioners,
Your current ordinance requires Final Site Plans and Final Plats to perform a traffic study and address
any intersection that is operating at a LOS C or less within%2 mile of a project. I understand the Final
Plats being required to do this and feel that is appropriate. Final Site Plans on previously platted lots
should not have this requirement. These major issues in traffic and intersections should be addressed in
the subdivision process.
Our City continues to grow and there are lots of growing pains right now,this requirement puts hardship
on small projects that received final plat years if not decades ago and are being asked to complete major
intersection improvements to complete their project. Please consider taking Final Site Plans, out of this
ordinance.
