Alder Creek is a subdivision full of children sandwiched between an elementary and a middle
school.Our street superintendent doesn’t seem to think we need a 4 way stop from the new Graf/11th
road crossing Brookdale into our subdivision.There are 12 children under the age of 5 within 200 ft. of this intersection.
There are about 100 kids west of 11th that need to cross 11th to get to the schools.
The intersection has 4 large homes on each corner and fencing.Visibility is limited.
Vehicles come off the “fun” new road at a good speed. Many of us have witnessed near collisions with children.
This situation will be worse once everyone south of us uses Alder Creek then 11th to get to the campus.
I’m writing to avoid the city being sued for millions of dollars for the first child that gets killed
there.We need a 4-Way Stop and white stripes.
This cannot be ignored or justified.
