WHEREAS, the United States Navy protects and defends America on the world's
oceans, and
WHEREAS, the United States Navy is deployed around the world, around the clock,
and
WHEREAS, the United States Navy is ready to defend America at all times, and
WHEREAS, the United States Navy makes it possible for the State of Montana to
export 1.3 billion dollars' worth of merchandise overseas in 2o16 and,
WHEREAS, three ships have borne the name USS Montana and the future USS
Montana submarine is scheduled to commission in 2020,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Carson Taylor, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, do hereby
proclaim the period 14 through 20 August as a special time to show appreciation for our
Navy and proclaim it as
Navy Week
in the City of Bozeman and encourage all citizens to take due note of the observance.
