In attendance:
Matt, Lisa, Mark, Merri, Lora, Courtney
Meeting called to order at 6:06pm
I. Disclosure of Ex Parte Communication
No items of exparte discussion
II. Changes to the Agenda
No changes of the agenda.
III. Approval of Minutes
Minutes of the Board for the April 9 and 23 meetings have not been emailed to the Board for review.
IV. Consent agenda
No items on the consent agenda.

VII. FYI/ Discussion
A. Expiring board terms
Lisa mentioned the upcoming expiration of board appointments, and encouraged members to apply. Pat
plans to reapply and Matt is encouraged to.
B. Preservation Awards recap
Awards went really well! Merri has created a recap of event and will forward a spreadsheet with
recommendations to improve the process and awards criteria.

C. Future meeting schedule
Lisa mentioned a request from Pat to meet at the end of June to talk about the evaluation of the NCOD
process. And getting more input from the Preservation Board. Meeting is scheduled for June 25 at 6pm;
will include a conversation about the NCOD and the approval of minutes.
VIII. Historic Preservation Officer Report
HPO Kramer noted that the Masonic Temple has declined the SAT grant. She’s dismayed, and not certain
where the funding will go from here.
HPO mentioned the continued work on the new B3 surveys. The consultant moved out of state and the
project has slowed down considerably.
HPO Kramer informed the group on the progress of the NCOD evaluation, including from the May 21
meeting. Things are moving along.
Board members asked questions about recent projects, including what’s happening with the 402 West
Koch demolition, the demolition of the house at South Grand and South Grant and the white house on
Peach Street.
CK noted that she will be teaching a preservation course at MSU in the fall. The class will focus on
drafting a historic district nomination for West Lamme Street, between North 3rd and North 7th.
