Kirk - UDC Update Subchapter 4B ILI too Lisa Bithell Kirk 227 East Olive Street, Bozeman Bozeman City Commission Public Comment 17 August 2017 Honorable Members of the City Commission, Save Bozeman sincerely appreciates the City Commission's consideration of a legislative process to reaffirm and readopt Subchapter 4B of the NCOD. We hope that means reevaluate and update. Beginning on April 11, with our ongoing request for public information about the genesis of Subchapter 4B, our testimony at multiple hearings, the exchange of many letters, and in other actions, we hope we have demonstrated our keen interest in all public processes that modify our neighborhood conservation guidelines. We know you have a long night ahead of you and the NCOD is not the focus of tonight's agenda. We offer a few comments regarding the scope of issues associated with the Subchapter 4B and growth in Bozeman neighborhoods. We are grateful and excited to have an opportunity to participate in a transparent, consensus- based process involving all stakeholders, one with ample time to arrive at a community-derived solution. We need time to frame the issues from all stakeholder perspectives, evaluate our options, communicate these clearly throughout the community, and discuss the possibilities so that we achieve a consensus that reflects the collective interests of Bozeman neighborhoods and communities. We are here to demonstrate our commitment to working with you to address the impacts of growth in Bozeman neighborhoods.
