Board Mr. II. H. Richardson, Dr. Paul Greene, mombers of the Montana Armory Board and AL1IT1J8t H. Lake, former City ManAger, met with the City Commission to disC1JSS the leasing of the Armory Builclinp; b;r The Cl ty of Bozeman. Mr. Richardson, Chairman of the Armor7;T Board, presented copies of the total expen- di tures of the WPA and the Montana Armory Boord on the Bozeman Armory, totaling :~)175, 499.37, which amount is considerably in excess of the original estimate, due to Architect's Fee, Admlnistrative Costs, and skilled labor which waS hired when WPA labor was not available. Mr. Richardson slJ.gcrested, as a basis for discussion, th8t the Armory Board take over all operating costs; that The City of Bozeman pay the $50,530.00 as originally planned and dedicate all rentals to the Armory Board. The Commission explained to Mr. Richardson and the Board thAt The City of Bozeman planned to make tho paytnents on the ~)50,530.00 pleclrred, by the rentals recei vec1 from the Armory, v!hereupon Tfr. Hichnrclson f' ta ted the excess cost mipht be taken care of by the Armory Board from another source. Mr. Tom Busha of the Armory Board was present at this adj01Jrned meeting. The agreement read b;' City Man8.ger ,Quinnell was discllssed at length by the Commission and the members of the Armory Board, and it was dec ided to present the Agreemen t to the Attorney General, who is the attorney for the Ar7'ory Board, for his opinion, surrgestions, or approval, and then have the Apreement submitted to the Commission for eyamination and approval.
