Those being present were Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson, Commissioner Landoe, City .t1.ttorney Aitken, City Manager Quinnell, Director of Finance Walter Davis, and the Clerk, when the following pro- ceedings were had to-wit: The mInutes of the last rogular session were read, and it was moved by "'ommissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis sioner Landoe tha t the minute s be approved as read and the motion was cl1.rried by tr:e following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner ~andoe; those voting No, none. Application for City License The application of Bertil Linfield for a City License was presented and read. It was moved by Commissbner Sorenson, seconded by Commiss'ioner Landoe that the application be approved and the license issued and the motion was c'~rried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissi oner Landoe; those voting No, none. Report The report of the Librarian for the month of July was presented and read. It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis st oner Landoe tha t the report be ac- cepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Bus ch, Commis s1 oner Landoe and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none. W & C 1942 The Manager s ta ted tha t certa in walks and curbs ordered cons truc ted for 1942 had not been repaired or constructed. ue presented form of advertisement for the work tha t had not been constructed by property owners as ordered, which was read. It was moved by Commission r Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the Clerk be 81Jthorized to advertise for bids for the construction of Misc. Ordinance No. 719 -- Appropriation Ordinance The Manager presented and read the Appropriation Ordinance for 1942-43, entitled: Al-T ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTEI\ANCE, ETC., OF TIill MtTNICIP AL GOVERNMENT OP rrHE CITY OF' BOZ}';~{ilN, MONTANA FOR TIfF<: PISCAL YEAR E1IDING June 30th, 1943. It was moved by Commis sioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner i;)orenson tha t the Ordinance be provisionally passed and ordered published and the motion was c~~rried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commis si oner Sorenson and Commissioner Land.oe; those votIng No, none. Garbage Contract The contractfbr garbage disposal and collection for eleven months, ending June 30th, 1943, between The City of Bozeman and J. S. Miles, was presented and read. The Contract was approved as to form by the City Attorney, whereupon, it was moved by CommissL oner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the contract be approved and the Mayor and the Clerk be authorized to sign for The City of Bozeman and the motion was carried 454 Resolution No. 518 -- Creating Airport Board The Manager stated the Joint-Resolution (City No. #518) creat:lng the City-County Airport Board and conferring authori ty upon them to improve, maintain and opera te the Gallatin Field, otherwise known as the Bozeman Airport, had been prepared. Rem 1ution No. 516 -- Li~hting Assess~ent The Manager stated this was the time and place set for hearing protests to the lev'ying of the assessment for lightIng maintenance for 1942. He stated thqt no one was present to protest and no protests had been filed. Calim The cla-':m ofE. G. Hendrickson, in the am01mt of $H38.50 for parts for the Police Radio was llresented and read. Aft8r examination of the claim, the City l'.:anager recommended that payment of two items on the claim, amounting to $42.00 be withhold pending further investigation.
