The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in rogular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening August 21st, 1942, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Busch, Commissioner Landoe, Commissioner Sorenson, City Attorney Aitken,
City Manager Quinnell, Director of Finance iialter Davis, City Engineer Thorpe and the
Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
The minu tesof the la s t reg.\) lar sess ion were read and it was moved by Commis sioner
Landoe, seconded by Commi ssioner Sorenson the t the minu tea be approved as read and the
motion was carried by the following i.ye and No vote; those vo ting Aye being Mayor Busch,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commis2ioner Landoe; those voting No, none.
Bids -- Mine W & C 1942
The Manager sta ted this was the time and place se t for the openinf"'" of bids for-the
cons truction of Misc. W & C 1842. He presAnted and read the affidavi t of publica tioD of
the Notice to Bidders. The Manager stated no bids had been filed; and that this was prob-
ably due to the fact that the entire output of the Three Forks Portland Cement Company
had been contracted by the government for military use. Mr. Quinnell said that the defec-
tive walks would be re-examined and the more dang0rot18 places temporarily repaired by
ci ty forces.
It wasmoved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Bandoe that the matter
be tabled until such time as the necessary m8 terials would again be available and the mo-
tion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Lan doe ; tIlQSe vo ting No, none.
Reports
The report of the Police ,Judge for .Tuly was presented and read. It was moved by Com-
missioner Sorons on, seconded by Commi ss ioner Landoe the t the report be accepted and ordered
. filed and the motion was carried by the following A.ye and No vote; those voting Aye being
Mayor Busch, Conunissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; those voting No, none.
The report of the Director of Finance for the month of July was presented and read.
It was moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner ~orenson that the report be
accepted and ordered filed and the motion was carried by the follow:l.ng Aye and No vote;
those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; those
voting No, none.

There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was
