Hello Commissioner Mehl,
I'm writing with a comment on the proposal to construct a wall in the current city swim center. It is my
opinion that the Commission is erronious in thinking this will benefit the patrons of the swim center and
the community in general. A 50 meter pool is a tremendous resource for our community - including
recreational swimmers and competitive swimmers - of all ages. With the number of swim facilities
growing in our community, THE main benefit the city facility has to offer is the 50 meter option. If you
remove that, I would anticipate your revenue and number of visitors will dramatically decrease. My
family has held a swim pass for the past 15 years and with out the 50 meter option, we will go
elsewhere. Thanks for considering.
