The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Cow~ission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, November 27th, 1942, at 7:30 o'clock P.Tf. Those being
present were Mayor Busch, Commissioner Landoe, Commissioner Sorenson, City Ivlanager Quin-
nell, Director of Finance Walter Davis, City Engineer Thorpe, and the Clerk, when the fol-
lowing proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regl-llar session were read, and it was moved by Commis"ioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the minutes be approved as read and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vo te; those voting Aye being Mayor' Busch,
Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; those voting No, none.
Taxes -- Abatement of Garbage Assessment
Mr. Lloyd King, who owns property at 722 East .t'each, appeared before the Commission
in regard to his 1942 garbage assessment at this property. He stated that he was notified
by the City not to rent this property until it had been connected to the sanitary sewer,
and the t therefore, he ha s not ren ted the property for over a year. He asked tha t the
garbage tax for 1942 be removed from the assessment roll.
Carl ITollensteiner, Assistant Engineer, confirmed the statements of Mr. King, and
following the discussion and consideration by the Commission it was moved by. Commissioner
Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that under the circumstances as stated, the
garbage assessment of $4.84 on the property described RS follows: 36 feet West of the
East 35 feet of Lots 7 to 10; Block 52, Northern Pacific Addition, which is 722 East
Peach Street, be abated and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those
voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commis& oner Landoe; those voting
No, none.
Communications
The Manap-er read letters from M. E. Henderson and AuC'. H. Lake relative to the oper-
a tion of the 'Polic e Radio and the appointmen t of a Fir e Chief.
The appointment of a Fire Chief was disc"ussed, and it was decided to have the rules
governing the opera tion of the Police Radio by the Police and Fire Department ShOllld be
formulated before an appointment is made.
Adiournment
There being no furtLer business to come before the Gommisslon at this time, it was
moved by Commiss.oner Landoe, seconded b;T Commissioner Sorenson that the meeting adjourn,
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor
Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; those voting No, none.
