Montana February 5th, 1943 4n~, The Commission of The Ci ty of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commis:,don Room, City Hall Building, Friday evening, February 5th, 1943, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being present were Mayor ~lsch, Commissioner Sorenson and CommisAioner Landoe, City Attorney Aitken, City Manager Quinnell, Director of Finance Walter Davis and the Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wit: The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved b;: Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner 'Sorenson that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; those voting No, none. Claims for the Month The cla:1.rn of Mins Blomer on the Garbage Fund in the amount of $1.65, was presented and read. The refunding of part of the garbage assessment when a house has been vacated part of a year was again discussed by the Commission with reference to this claim. It was moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that henceforth the City Commission will not allow any bill for the refund of a garbage assessment unless the premises levied on for this purpose have been vacant for at least six months contin- uously during the garbage assessment period and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Lancloe and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none. On motion by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the claim of Mine Blomer for refund on the garbage assessment be rejected, the motion was carried by the following nye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Landoe end Commissioner Sorenson; those votIng No, none. Claims Nos. 4094 to 4246 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows: Airport Cemetery Garbage General Cem. Perm Care Fire Relief Library Park Water War Bond To tal ~~ 28.24 593.51 870.52 6,316.43 5,00U.00 352.38 603.12 1,293.57 1,586.54 . 300.00 $ 16,944.31 The Manager stated he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful claims against The City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their pay- ment. Af,tar examina tion of the claims in detail by the Commis sion, it was moved by Com- missioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that warrants be drawn for their pay- ment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; tLose voting No, none. Resolution No. 524 -- Opposing Senate Bills Nos. 59 & 61 The Manager reported on activities at the State Legislature and presented bills effecting The City of Bozeman. After discussion, it was decided to oppose Senate Bills Nos. 59 & 61, and adopt a resolution to that effect. Commission Resolution No. 524, was then presented and read, entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMr.TIS~HON OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, IN R"i~GULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5th, 1943~ OPPOSING SENATE BILLS 59 & 61. It was moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded b~' Commiss!. oner Sorenson that the resolution be passed and adopted and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoej those voting No, none. Adjournment There being no further business to come before the Commission at this time, it was moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson tmt the meeting adjourn and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Busch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoe; those voting No, none.
