February 27th, 1942
The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, FebruHry 27th, 1942, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were rifayor Busch, Commi.s:sioner Lancloe, Commissioner Sorenson, City Attorney Aitken,
City Manager Quinnell, Director of Finance Walter Davis and the Clerk, when the following
proceedinrrs were had to-wit:
The minutes of t:he last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commis donor Landoe thl1t the minutes be approved as read and_ the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being TiIa;vor Busch,
Commissioner Land0e and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.

Mrs. T. F'. Ballard, Sleating Supervisor at Beall :Park, appeared before the Commission
and s ta ted she had been la id off b'; Thurm.an Cloninger and no reason g1 ven. She sls 0 made
certain accusations about employees at the skating rinks.
Mrs. Ballard was informed that the small attendance and only two or three more days
of skating were the reasons she was laid off and not because her services were unsatisfactory.
The Manager was asked to investigate the accusations made' by Mrs. Ballard.
Report - - Annua 1 Au,j i t
Mr. C. R. Coulston, CPA, appeared before the Commission and presented copies of his
annual audi t to members of the Ci t;T Commis sion. He s ta ted tha t after the Commission had
an opportunity to examine the report he would be glad to attend another meeting and answer
any Questions that they mi~ht have.
Applications for City Licenses

It was moved by Commis sioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson th~) t the
applications be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the fol-
lowing Aye and No vote; those votIng Aye being Mayor Busch, Commis"1ioner Landoe and
Commissloner Sorenson; those voti.ng No, none.
Armory -- Applicotion for Hall
A communication from the Housekesper's Club reqeusting the opening date of the Armory
for a program and dance was presented and read. 'The matter was tabled pending the settle-
ment of the contract between The City of Bozeman ane' the State Armory Board.
Bids for Firemen's Uniforms
The Manager read spec i fic8t ions for uniforms for the TI".embers of the l"ire Department.
It was moved by Commis~doner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Landoe that the CIty
Manager be authorized to ask for bids for Firemen's uniforms and the motion was carried
by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye beinl! Ma7Tor Busch, Commissioner
Landoe and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
Resignation -- Police Department
The Manap;er read tbe resiQ"n9t10n of Douglas Anderson as a member of the Police Department.

There being no further business to come before the CommlAsion at this time, it was
moved by Commissioner Landoe, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson th8t the meeting adjourn
and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being .l~Iayor
&Jsch, Commissioner Sorenson and Commissioner Landoej those voting No, none.
