HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-10-31 368 Bozeman, Montana October 31st, 1941 The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room, Oity Hall Building, F'riday evening, October 31st, 1941, at 7:30 O'clock P.M. 'l'hose being present were Mayor Hoey, Cornmis sioner Busch, Commis sioner Sorenson, City Manager Lake, Director of F'inance Walter Davis and the Clerk when the followlng proceedjngs were The minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Comrnissioner I had to-wit: Sorenson, seconded by Commis sioner B1.1S eh that the minutes be appro ved as 1'0 ad and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hosy, Commissioner Busch and Commissioner Sorenson; those vot1,ng No, none. Sale of Port1on of pondera Tract City Manager Lake stated the State Highway would like to purchase approximately seven acres of land on the Pondera Tract for :*50.00 per acre to be used for a gravel pJ~t; the pit to be located :l.n the southeast corner of the Tract; th8.t the State Highway WOuld furnish the City with the [-,;ravel necessary for the construction of the new road at cost. After discussion, :t t was moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by Commissioner Sor- enson th'1t the Ci ty Manager be empowered to deal vIlth the State Highway for the sale of approximately seven acres of the Pondera 'rract for a gravel pi t and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; U!ose voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Comrnissioncr Busch, Comrnis s ioner Sorenson; thos e v otirg No, none. Ordinance No. 713 --'Iac'Jtlon of Part of ]'Tortb Runse I The Manager stated this was the time and place set for the hearing of protests to the vacation of a triangular strip of North House Street between the fir at alley north of Main Street and Beall street, in order to make the street of more uniform width. He stated that no protests had been filed and no one was present to protest. He presented Ordinance No. 713, vacating said strip, entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE Crry OF BOZEMAN VACA'L'ING A 'I'RIANGULAR STRIP OF LNJD ALONG THE WES1' SIDE OF ROUSE AVENUE, NOR'l'H PURSUAN'I' TO THE PROVISIONS OF COMMISSION RES011ITION NO. 510. It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the Or- dinance be passed and adopted and the motion was carr'i ed by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Conunissioner Busch and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none. Agreement wjth Gallat'n County -- Re Police Hadjo 'rhe Manager presented an agreement between The City of Bozeman filld -UIe county of Gal- latin regardlnr.; the joint-installation and sharing of cost and maintenance of the Police Radio to be installed at the City Hall. 'l'he agreement was approved as to form by the City Attorney and after examlnation, it was moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by I Commiss:i.oner Hoey that the Mayor and the Clerk be authorizeL1 to sign the Agreement for The Ci ty of Boze;::an and the mati on was carried by the follow"lng Aye and :No vote; those voting Aye beine; Mayor Boey, COmm:i.:::;sioner BUSCh and Commis~lioner Sorenson; those vot:Lng I'To, none.
