The Co!Yun1s :"ion of T}w C1 ty of I3ozoman met in regular session in the Commie sion Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening, November 7trl, 1941, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being
present were Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Sorenson, City Manager Lake,
Director of B'inance Vialter Davis and the Clerk when the following proceedings were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved by Commissioner
Sorenson, seconded Mayor Roey that the minutes be approved as read and the motion was
carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Roey and Comrnis-
sioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
Garbage Complaint
Mrs. Ida M. Stephens, 119 South 7th, appeared before the Commission to ask if she
could have an adjustment on the charge for garbage collection or be re1ievedof the col-
lection of garbage; that she had little garbage; was getting old and earned her own living.
Mrs. Stephens was j. nformed the charge was un iform throughout the C1 ty and it would
not be possible to make adjustments for specisl cases without making a special case of
each property in the City.
Commissioner Busch entered and was noted present
Claims for the Month
Claims Nos. 1843 to 2057 inclusive were presented on the various funds as follows:

The Manager s ta ted he has audited these claims and finds them to be true and lawful
claims agaInst The City of Bozeman and recommends that warrants be drawn for their pay-
ment. After examination of the claims in detail by the Commission, it was moved by Com-
missioner Busch, seconded. b:r Commi s8ioner Sorenson tha t warrants be drawn for their pay-
ment and the motion was carried by the following Aye and NO'\lote; those voting Aye being
Mayor I-Ioey, CommissIoner BUBcb and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
Canvass of Election Returns
The Manager presented one Tally Book and one Poll Book for each of the eight voting
precincts in the City, and trie Commission proceeded to canvass the election retl1rns.
It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis"ioner Bus cr.! that the Com-
mission, after canvassing the returns, finds that H. B. Landoe received 501 votes; Walter
Mecklenburg 429 votes; Fred Jacobs, 2 votes; and Ed Dye, 1 votej and that a certificate
of election be issued to H. B. Landoe and the motion was carried by the following Aye and
No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch and Commissioner Sorenson;
those voting No, none.
The Manager was ins true tad by the Mayor and the Commis sioners to extend their con-
gratulations to Mr. Landoe, and invite h:t.m to attend Commiss:t.on meet:t.ngs and take part in
the planning for 1942.

The following applications for city licenses were presented and read:

Contract -- Installation of Police Radio
The Manager presented the contract between The City of Bozeman and the Trans~itter
Equipment Manufaot~lring Co., Tn., for the furnisldng of all equipment and the installation
at the City Hall in Bozeman, for the Police Radio equlpment. The contract was approved
as to form by the C1 ty Attorney, whereupon it was C'.oved by Commissi oncr Busch, seconded
by Commis ,'doner Sorenso n tha t the rtayor and the Clerk be authorized to sign for 'l'he CluJ
of Bozeman and tbe motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye
being Ma:l'"or Hoey, Commissioner Busch and Commlssioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
