The Commis:cion of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
Cit;T Hall Building, Friday evening, November 14th, lS'41, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those
being present were Mayor IIoey, Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Sorenson, City Attorney

The minutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commissioner
Sorenson, seconded by Commis sioner Busch tha t the minutes be approved as read and the
motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; tr:oBe voting Aye being Mayor Boey,
Com"nissioner BUBel] and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.

The following reports for the month of October were presented:

Applicstion for City License
The application of the Rock ~'iool Blowing Service for a cit;{ license was presented.
It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the applk~
tions be approved and the license issued and the motion was carried by the following

Claim on Cemetery -- Service Building
Claim No. 2058 on the Cemetery Fund in the amount of:~l, 091. 45 to W. D. Willmore

was presented. After examination of the clal~ by the Commission, It was moved by Com-
missioner BUSCh, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that a warrant be drawn for its pay-

Agreement -- A F & A M # 6 and Cemetery Board
'11he Manager presented an agreement between The Bozeman Cemetery Board and Galla tin
Loclge # 6 AF & AM, wherein the Lodge agrees to exahange certain blocks of lots in the
Sunset Hills Cer:letcry for other permanent care blocl{s. The agreement had beer approved
and signed by the Cemetery Board. It was moved by Commissioner Busch, ,~econded by Com-
miscdoner Sorenson tba. t the Agreement be approved and tbe Ilfayor and t:"je Clerk be 8,uthor-
ized to sign for The Ci ty of Bozeman and the motion was carried by the! following ..I'>ye

Deed to State Hi-way for Part of Pondera Tract
The ]I~anager presented the deed to 9.5 acres of land more or less located on the
southeast corner of tbe Pondera Tract to the Montana State .Highway Commission. It was
moved by COIrl.missioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis,doner Busch that the Mayor and the
Clerk be authorized to sign the deed for JIhe City of' Bozeman and Ulemotion was carried
by the followIng Aye and No vote; tho,~e voting Aye being Mayor Boey, Commissioner Busch,

The Mayor annol1nced the following appointmen ts to the Ad.ju stment Board:

Errol Koch
Elmer Bartholomew
Mrs. W. S. Hartman
each for a term of three years from November 8th, 1941 until November 8th, 1944.

The Mayor announced the following appointments to the Airport Board:

Sign at 33 East Main
The Manager stated that Mr. Geo. McCracken, who was present, had made certain im-
provements at the premises located at 33 East Main Street witho'ut having fir<Jt obtained
a permi t an~" tha t the improvements did not comply wi th the Ordinance; tha t a sign panel
of temper-board containing more than forty S'Juare feet, which should have been of steel
had been ereeted and does not comply with the building code.
Mr. McCracken s te ted he was ignorant of the fac t tha t a permit was neces sary; the t
he had been bllSY and out of tovm and failed to get the necessary pt"orY!11 t. Mr. McCracken
st8ted the front had been considerably improved and he would like to have per::nission
to leave it as it stands.
Tbe City Commission, act'ng as a Board of Appeals, under the Building Ordinance,
discussed tf.l,e matter with Mr. rv:cCracken and it was decided to talee the matter under
advisemen t.
