HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-12-12 380 Bozeman, Montana December 12th, 1941 The Commis si on of The Ci ty of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commis sion Room, City Hall Building, Friday evening, December 12th, 1941, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Those being present were Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Sorenson, City Manager Lake, Mr. Fred Quinnel, and the Clerk, when the following proceedinp:s were 1lad to-wit: The mlnutes of the last regular session were read, and it was moved by Commiss ioner Sorenson, seconded by Commis :"3ioner Busch tha t the minutes be approved as read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and }~o vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Boey, Commissioner Busch and Commissiorer Sorenson; tbose voting No, none. Dog Question Discussed Mr. Dave Robinson appeared before the Commission to ask what action the Commission planned to take about restricting dogs from running at large. The Commission informed Mr. Robinson that the matter had been discussed bui? no definite action had as yet been taken, but that it will be discussed again at future meetings and try to find some practical plan for its solution. Commissioner Sorenson asked to be excused and permission was granted Reports The following reports for the month of November were presented: Director of Finance Employment Officer. It was moved by Commissioner Bus-;h, seconded by Mayor Hoey that the reports be accepted and ordered filed and the moti:m was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Boey and Commissioner Busch; those voting No, none. Bond of H B Landoe The bond of Commissioner-elect H. B. Landoe, in the amount of :U;2000.00 was presented. It was moved by Mayor Hoey, seconded by Commissioner busch that the bond be approved and accepted subject to the approval of the Cit;r Attorney, and themotion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those votir'g Aye being Mayor Hoey and Commissioner Busch; those voting No, none. Application for City License The application of Dad's Place for the operation of a meat counter in additi6n to the retAil store was presented. It was moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by Mayor Hoey that the application be approved and the license issued ar,d. the motion was carrIed by the follovdng Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey and Commissiorer Busch; those voting No, none. M1Jsic at Sk8t:~ng Rinks Mr. Thurman Cloninger. Foreman, appeared before the Commission and stated the ITstter of furnishlng mucis at the sk8t;ng rinks had been discussed by the Recreation Board and he had been asked to s ubmi tit to the Commission. After discus sion, Mr. Cloninger was advised to investiga te further anJ try ou t music machines before a decision is reacted. Adjournment There being no further bus:tness to come before the Commiss'on at this time, it was moved by Mmyor Roey, seconded by Commi~sioner Busch that the m'''eting adJourn and the mo- tion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; tho~,e voting Aye being Mayor Hoey and Commissioner Bu_sch; those voting No, none.
