The Commission of The City of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission
Room, City Hall Building, Friday evening, PebrlJar~' 21, 1941, at 7:30 o'clock P.!,:. Those

BIds for Gnrbage EalJling 1941
The Ii:anager sta ted that this WDS the t:L:r.e and place set for the opening of bids for
the garbage hauling contract for 1941. He presented the affidavit of publication of
the Notice to bidders, whereupon, it was moved by Corn..'1lissioner Busch, seconded by Com-
ruls sioner Sorenson tha t the bids be oponed and the motion was carried by the following
Aye and 1;0 vote; those voting Aye being r/:ayor Roey, COml':lls::;ioner Busch and Commissioner
Sorenson; those voting No, none.
The following bid was opened ancl. read:

out that the present rate of assessment would not raise sufficient money to .pay this

to pay the numerous taxes that are assessed against Ule private hauler; that if the col-
lections could be made in less than six days a weele this would also reduce the collec-
tion cost.
The Manager s ta ted tha t if the City expec ts to c ollec t the garbage, it will be
necessary to have addi tional trucks to be used for"- this purpose.

Bids for Cast Iron Pipe
The Manager stated tha tit would be necessar:r to purchase cas t iron pipe and two
valves for the water main to be replaced at the North Reservoir. He presented specifica-
tions for the necessary pipe and valves. After examination of the specifications by the
Commisd on, it was moved by Cornmiss ioner Sorenson, seconded by Commiss:. oner Busch tl::at
the City Manager be authorized to advertise for bids to be opened March 14th, 1941 and
the motion was carried by the following Aye and No voto; those voting Aye being Mayor
IIoey, Commissioner Buseh and Commissioner Sorenson; those voting No, none.
Bids for Chlorinator and &~oniator
The Manager presented specifications for a manually-controlled Chlorinator and
Ammoniator to be installed at the North Reservalr which were examined by the Commission.
It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, secondedby COIT1';lissioner Busch that the City
Manager be authorized to advertise for bids to be opened ~ilarch 14th, 19<11 for a manually

Street Li':J'ht North Seventh and Villard
The l'lanager stated that a request had been made for a street liGht at tIle intersec-
tion of North Seventh Avenue and V111ard Street. After examination of the map showing
street lights at intersections, it was moved b:r Commissioner Busch, seconded b'~; Conunis-
sioner Sorenson that ttle City Manager be authorized to install a street light at Seventh
and Villa rd and t.."lQ motion was carried. by the folloWing Aye and No vote; those vot ine;
Aye being :Ma:{or Hoey, .Commissioner Busch and Commissioner :Sorenson; those voting No, none.
