The Commission of The Ci ty of Bozeman met in regular session in the Commission Room,
City Hall Building, Friday evening May 9th, 1941, at 7:30 o'clock P.l\I. Those beIng
present were Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch, Commissioner Sorenson, City Attorney Aitken,
City Manager Lake, Director of B'inance Walter Davis and the Clerk when the following
proceedIngs were had to-wit:
The minutes of the last reglJlar session were read and it was moved by CommisRioner
Dusch, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson tlm t the minutes be approved as read and the
motion was carried by the following A,,:{e and No vote; thoso votinG Aye being Mayor Boey,
Comm.lseioner Busch, Commissioner Sorenson; those voting Ho, none.
Resignation of Mrs. Roy Spain -- Recrontion -Board
The Mayor read the resigna tion of Mrs. Roy Spain as a member of the Recrea tion
Board. It was moved by Commissioner Bus ch, seconded by COl11r.1issioner Sorenson tha t the
res':'gnat::'on be accepted and the motion was c.9rried by the following Aye and No voto; those
voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch and Comm.issloner Sorenson; those vot'ng
No, none.
l\!unicipal Band
Dr. N. o. Otheirr. appeared before the Commission and reported on the progress of
the newly-organized Municipal Band, and asked to know how :tmlch time 1\~r. Sandvie; could
devote to the direction of a Junior Band. l\Ir. Otheim was informed that Mrs. Johnsbn
would worlc out a schedule for the Recreational Directors to follow.

Mr. Howell of the Midland Implement C0mpany appeared and discussed the Rosco Dis-
tributor sold by his concern.
Reports
The followine; reports for the month of April were presented:
City Engineer
Director of Finance
Employment Officer
It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the reports
be accepted a nd ordered filed and the mo tion was carried by the fo llowing J.~ye and No vo te;
those voting Aye being ilayor Hoey, Commissioner Busch and Cornmisflloner Sorenson; those
voting No, none.
Bids for Cast Iron pipe
The MaD8:er s ta ted the C:t ty Enr;lneer had prepared a li::;t of cas t iron pipe necessary
for the Water Department for the coming year. After examination of the speCificatIons,
it was moved by Commissioner Busch, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson that the Clerk be
an thorized to advertise for bids to be submit ted on or before May 29th, 1941 and the
motion was carried b~T the fOllowine; Aye and No vo te; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey,
Commissioner Busch and Comrnis 3 :toner Sorenson; those votIng No, none.
