Those being present were ~flayor Hoey, Commis2ioner BusC:h, 'Commi~lsioner Sorenson, City Manager Lake Director of F'inance Walter Davis and the Clerk, when the following proceedings were had to-wi t : I The minutes of the last regular session were read and it was moved b~r Commissioner Busch, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson tha t the minutes be approved HS read and the motion was carried by the following Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Boey, Com.'Y!issioner Bl]Sch and Conunis~doner Sorenson; those voting No, none. Request for FavIng on West ArtLur Stre8t T\:r. Joe Livers, J. A. Nelson, Ii. T. VanCamp and F. I[. Harring ton and J. R. Chambers, were present and requested the Ci t~T Commission to order paving in on Arthur Street be- tween Willson Avenue and Fifth Street. After discussion by the Commission, those present were informed that the City ~ommission would not favor ordering paving in on any street until those interested and effected had first tried to create a voluntary improvement district. Chambers, members of the Cemetery Board were present and presented plans for the construction of a Ser~ice Building at the Cemetery, to cost approximately :j~5,OOO. Communica tion - - Re: Garage 602 Sou tt 5 th A communication from H. A. Croonquist was presented and read, stating that the garage at the rear of the house at 602 South 5th was so placed that it detracted from I I I trle appearance of his house buil t at 418 West Dickerson and decreased the value of his property in the amound of ~~500, and reques ted tha t the garage be moved. The matter was discussed by the Commission, and it 'was pointed out that the garage was not buil t according to the building permit gran ted, and is buil t closer to the line than is permi tted by the ZoninG Ordinance. It was moved by Commissioner Sorenson, seconded by Commissioner Busch that the ap- plications be approved and the licenses issued and the motion was carried by the follow- ing Aye and No vote; those voting Aye being Mayor Hoey, Comp1issirmer Busch and Commi~3- sloner Sorenson; those voting No, none. Painting Interior of Library The Mans&":er s ta ted thB t the Library Board, a t their las t mee ting had recommended that the interior of the Library Building be redecorated. After discussion, it was moved by Commis sioner Bus ch, seconded by Commissioner Sorenson till t the Ci t;r Manager be authorized to advertise for bids to be opened June 27th, 1941 for the painting of the interior of the Library and the motion was carried by the 1'ollowing liye and No vote; those vo ting Aye being 1Tayor Hoey, Conunis s ioner Bus ch and Commi sal oner Sorens on; those votin~ No, none.
